Consider this.

You are a manufacturer or distributor and must confirm stock at one of your many retail stores. Many steps are involved in a traditional order entry system (without utilizing an EDI), including multiple phone calls, manual data entry, and time. The diagram below does not indicate additional actions such as checking a customer's discount level, the correct price, confirming the valid item number, and that stock is available.
