ICG’s leadership team is composed of a diverse group of seasoned professionals. Our Chief Technology Officer, Jerry Hook, is a US Navy veteran and technology executive. He leads ICG in developing IT solutions that drive businesses, exceed expectations, and deliver results.
Jerry has been with the team for the past 3.5 years. Prior to that, he worked as a System Architect for a business technology solutions company, and in an IT leadership role for the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He also served in the US Navy for six years.
In his capacity at ICG, he is responsible for all company technology and technological resources. This includes supervising the operations team and pre-sales architects. He also oversees operations evaluation and testing of technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness. And he works with the rest of the leadership team to establish ICG’s technology vision, strategy, and plan for growth.
One of the key things Jerry values about work at ICG is “to be able to determine what technology is best for ICG customers today and in the future, while sticking with the key fundamentals of technology.” This back-to-basics approach underpins the idea of IT as a utility. That is, the purpose of IT is to get applications to the employees so they can do their jobs.
From his many years of experience on the industry side, Jerry understands firsthand the importance of a strong technology foundation. Jerry brings tremendous value to ICG, with expertise in leading edge technologies, technology operations best practices, and executive leadership.
Fun fact: Jerry is an avid offshore fisherman.
